Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory / Windows Engineer to join our infrastructure team on a long-term contract basis. You will be responsible for managing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Active Directory infrastructure and Windows environments for enterprise clients. This is a hybrid position based in Irvine, CA with opportunities for growth and development in a collaborative team environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure
Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units (OUs), and permissions
Administer Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Perform user and computer management across domains
Monitor and optimize network performance and security
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows systems
Document configurations, processes, and procedures
Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance standards
Participate in system upgrades and migrations

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
Expertise in Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking
Experience with user and computer account management
Knowledge of Windows Security and Active Directory security best practices
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting
Understanding of cloud identity solutions (Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID preferred)
Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
